The Iditarod comes to Mountain View!

The Iditarod is unlike any other race that MV hosts. It's a race over 1,150 miles of some of the worlds most extreme, unreal and beautiful terrain.
Members will face many challenges including: extreme weather, temperatures well below zero and long hours of darkness...

What you need to know: PLEASE READ!

This race is unlike any other race at MV because it is held in stages where you can clearly see who is in the lead and what the standings are as the race is happening. Each week, for four weeks, you will be asked to submit the next photo and they will be judged and standings posted. Once the four weeks have passed and all the photos judged, the results will be posted!

You must submit all four photos in order to participate and they must be received at the appropriate times. If you miss a photo, you will be disqualified and if you are late with a photo you will lose points since this is the equivalent of falling behind.

Each team will be assigned a colour that will represent them for the race. Your progress will be recorded using a paw print in your colour on the map of the race below.

Once all entry forms have been received (by Nov 30th), Vet Check photos have been judged and teams have been given colours to represent them, the next stage of the race will begin.

You must have your Vet Check photos in by November 30th, 2011 in order to participate!
